After a week of wearing boring office work clothes, I welcomed the idea of cropped t-shirts & ripped shorts for the weekend. The last time I owned something tie dye, was when I decided to wear it to a friends “Bad Fashion Party”. Besides that, it’s the other white clothes that I accidentally washed with a coloured one (happens all the time!) So it isn’t much of a surprise that I soon threw them out. This one though gives such a cute 60s vibe with bubblegum colours that isn’t too ‘psychedelic’ & thankfully, it matches perfectly with the high-waisted Levi shorts I scored at the Sunday Market.
Fridays are usually my favourite day of the week (woohoo surprise!), partly because it’s casual Fridays at the office & the drastic change in weather from cold to awesome only made it even better. I figured I’d pull out my new Topshop blouse bought from my trip to Jakarta, as well as a clutch & new heels to wear unapologetically so I can meet friends for drinks straight after work – a little neat casual 😉 Hoping you all have a fun filled weekend!
I surprise myself every-time I pick this outfit to wear on the weekends. I’m surprised that I’m never, ever sick of it all, seeming that I get bored of things quite easily. I initially questioned these boyfriend jeans I scored for $5 at the Camberwell markets like whether they will fit & if they’d work with anything other than the white Ts in my cupboard, but it miraculously worked out with almost everything- especially my white waffle knits. The fact that they are already distressed, loose & so comfortably ‘lived in’ is even better. Perfect for the past cloudy & chilly Sunday when G & I went to check out Brighton beach for our upcoming wedding in December.
