[From one of the coolest girls out there, Lena Dunham]
There are major changes that are about to happen in my life. Besides the wedding, my family & I are in the process of finding the right investment property. On top of that, G & I will be moving into our newly built home early next year. Work is same same but there are a couple of options I’m considering as well. So it’s only natural that there are POAs (piece of advice) flying left right & centre from family & friends. Whilst we all could do with a POA every now & then- whether or not we ask for it, some are certainly worth listening to. Here are some words of wisdoms or, POAs that I have lived by:
1)Don’t take the advice from someone who doesn’t have to live with the consequences. 2)You get what you paid for 3)Just because someone is dreading their job or hating their manager & everyone else, does not mean the same should go for you. 4)Buy less, choose well. 5)You will get judged & criticised no matter what you do, so you might as well do what makes you happy. 6) Choose the right friends. 7)Doing the same thing & expecting a different result each time is madness. 8)Just do your best with a sincere heart. 9) (If you are stuck with a decision) What would you say/do for your kids or family? 10) (On things you cannot change) Too bad so sad, move on.
What are the best advices you’ve been given?
